Now when the cylinder and piston are rotated, the space between the cylinder and the inner wall of the drum is divided by the piston into two chambers, which vary in size depending on the position of the piston. Thus, at the supply, a chamber is created which becomes increasingly larger and therefore sucks in liquid, and when the piston subsequently passes the supply again, this liquid is pushed to the outlet by the piston.
