A South German belt pouch (money pouch), circa 1530/40, Elaborately crafted leather pouch with four hinged iron clasps for fastening. The front made of finely ribbed leather with incised ornamentation, the rest of the pouch in fine chamois-dressed leather. The clamp with incised decoration, with several hidden clasps in places. The interior with a total of six different compartments and pockets, two more on the front and one on the back of the pouch. Two iron eyelets to loop through the belt on the back.
