A cavalry officer's sabre, Germany(?), 1st half of the 19th century Lightly curved blade à la Montmorency. Brass hilt, the knuckle-bow with two side bars as well as a guard bar on the reverse side. Leather grip cover with heavy brass wire winding. Grip back plate with a lion head pommel. Iron scabbard with brass mountings. The blade slightly stained. Iron parts of the scabbard cleaned with minimal pitting. Length 102 cm.
