Scrapped uPVC window frames for recycling. uPVC is unplasticized polyvinyl chloride. Also known as rigid PVC, it is used extensively in the construction industry. PVC (polyvinyl chloride) is a polymer made up of repeating units of vinyl chloride. In its rigid form it is a brittle white solid. The flexible form is obtained by the addition of plasticisers. PVC can be recycled, though it has to be collected and separated from other waste and recycled through specialised processes.
