The truffle market in Aups (France) takes place every Thursday from the beginning of December until March. The truffle market of Aups is the third largest of its kind in all of France. Here the truffle dealers sell directly to end customers. Elsewhere in the truffle trade are usually interposed wholesalers. The price of the black winter truffle is about 600 euros per kilo at the beginning of the season and rises to about 1,000 euros per kilo by Christmas. Aups, France
