Would I Win Your Vote?

A suffrage movement postcard. A little girls plays dress-up and asks will she win your vote? Women's suffrage is the right of women to vote on the same terms as men. This was the goal of the suffragists in the United States and the suffragettes in Great Britain. Postcards were a common medium for carrying these messages. Conrad "Cobb" Shinn (1887–1951) was born in Fillmore, Indiana. Shinn is primarily known as a postcard artist. He began producing cards as early as 1907.
