CONSOLIDATION IN PENNSYLVANIA. New companies are forming in Philadelphia and Pitts-burg to consolidate several lines of street railway in eachcity. The largest company will comprise the Peoples,Electric and Philadelphia Traction Companies, of Phila-delphia, in the Union Traction Company wiih $30,000,-000 capital. The new company will control 347 miles ofelectric and 34 miles of cable line. Stockholders have. A LONCi HAUL. was coupled to a train of nine heavily loaded big motors sailed through at 20 miles an hour onthe level and mounted a 4 per cent grade 500 feet motive power was in readiness at this grade butthe motor proved not to need it. The motor and its longtrain attracted universal attention all along the street andManager Dimmock was proud of his load.
