Leopard d'Or of Edward III of England , 1327-1377. England, Anglo-Gallic, Gothic period, 14th century. Gold; diameter: cm (1 5/16 in.). Known as a "Golden Leopard" because of the crowned leopard on one side, this gold coin was minted for Edward III, king of England and France.
