Moritz Kaposi (1837-1902), Austrian physician and founder of modern dermatology. Kaposi described and defined many skin diseases. One of these is Kaposi's sarcoma, which is a type of skin cancer and is named after him. This particular disease is found notably in African people and more recently in victims of AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome).
