MOUNTAIN SCHOOL: MT TERMINILLO NEAR RIETI, ITALY - 15th Army Group training in the mountains of Northern Italy. When students become sufficiently experienced on their skis, they are given the opportunity of travelling at high speeds over a flat snow surface. The "Weasel" an amphibious tracked vehicle similar to a Bren carrier, is used for this students hang on to ropes and are hauled by the Weasel at a speed of approx. 30 They gain valuable experience, and soon learn to control their skis at high speed British Army, 15th Army Group
