Guanacos in the Valdés Peninsula, Patagonia Argentina


The guanaco is a species from South America. It is a wild animal, as opposed to the llama which is domestic. They have an approximate height of meters and about 91 kilograms in weight. Young guanacos are called chulengos. It feeds on grass, moss and tubers. Guanacos are known for their great ability to spit, both saliva and herbs they may be chewing.
