Up to the present we have no exact data to indicate the final limits of the area which may become infested by these ants. They appar- ently thrive as well at Delta, La., at an elevation of 87 feet, as they do near the mouth of the Mssissippi River, 300 miles to the south and almost at sea level. They seem to be little or not at all affected.
