A C6th inscribed granite pillar topped by a Medieval wayside cross-head re-erected beside the churchyard gate at St Meubred's Church, Cardinham, Cornwall, England, UK. This Early Christian pillar & the C10th Cardinham Cross re-erected by the south porch were built into the C15 chancel of the present church. They were both re-discovered during restoration work in 1872. The cross-head was placed on top of the pillar in 1896. Cardinham is an authentic Early Christian site but this pillar may have been originally used elsewhere, perhaps as a memorial, waymark or boundary stone. Its inscription reads: Randocori Fili (son of) Mesgi.
