In addition to thishe is afforded scope for original and imaginative creation. Refreshing, however, as are originality and imagination, and essential as theymust be later, they cannot form the sole basis upon which to judge a studentspicture. We must take into account the impossibility of selecting a subject thatwill fire the pictorial imagination of all competitors alike.
