Tuk-Tuks are frequently used by local rural communities as an affordable means of transport along the km A 5 trunk road that snakes its way much of it hugging the steep hilly tea plantations through the Eastern Province, Uva Province, and Central Province of Sri Lanka. The A5 is also known as the PBS Highway – Peradeniya-Badulla- Chenkaladi. The A5 also passes through the tourist town of Nuwara Eliya.
