Penllyn Bridge over the Rhythallt river at NW end of Llyn Padarn, Llanberis: built 1826 to transport slate from hills before the railway was built.


Penllyn Bridge over Afon (River) Rhythallt at the NW end of Llyn Padarn was built in 1826 to help transport slate from the Fachwen & Dinorwic quarries on the hillsides to the rear, before the railway to Port Dinorwic/Felinheli harbour was constructed. The Dinorwig Slate Quarry Mountain Landscape is part of The Slate Landscape of Northwest Wales which became the UK's 32nd UNESCO World Heritage Site on 28 July 2021.
