The female fly is larger than the male, anddiffers in not having the dark clouded marking on the upper wings j fee fig. 4,The male is reprefented as flying at fig. 3, and the under parts are difplayed atfig. 5. This is a common fpecies, and frequents the fides of hedges, and theenvirons of woods, when on the wing.
