De Waardpoort in Utrecht, 1757-1822. The Weerdpoort, also known as Amsterdamse Poort, was one of the four medieval city gates. The Weerdpoort was the northern entrance to the city and consisted of a land gate with a (draw) bridge and a water gate at the bottom of the Oudegracht.
