These machines are of the inductor type, having nomoving wire. The inductor is about 10 feet in diam-eter, and of very massive construction. The single-circular field coil is wound on a brass spool ot about 10inches face by an equal depth, and completely surround-ing the inductor. The armature is in two parts.
