Read June *, T T will, no doubt, appear furprizing,l?6i X tnat I fl1011^ attempt to determine thedifference of longitude between two of the moft ce-lebrated obfervatories in Europe j and in which fomeof the greateft aftronomers, that ever lived, have,for above eighty years, been conftantly obfervingthe motions of the heavenly bodies: yet it is moftcertain, that, to this day, we are ignorant of the faiddifference of longitude: the Englifti aftronomersreckoning it to be = 9 20, and the French fet-ting it down at 9 10, which, they tell us, was found.
