Contrasting beech and conifer hedging


The deciduous leaves of the beech hedge, Fagus sylvatica,produce autumnal shades of gold, later turning brown in early winter and then dropping in early spring. This conifer hedge, Thuja plicata, is evergreen and remain green throughout the year.
