After dinner, Mr, and were presented with a silver serviceset, the presentation address being made byDivision Engineer Gibson in a very ablemanner. Toast Master McElheny handledhis job in his usual jovial manner. The floorwas then cleared and all present enjoyed adance. Just before Mr. Brown departed forCumberland, he sent the following letter toALL EMPLOYES—CONNELLSVILLEDIVISION: As you are no doubt aware, I am leavingthe Connellsville Division to take the super-intendency of the Cumberland Division. Itherefore wish to take this opportunity toexpress to each and every employe on theConnellsville Division my appreciation of 66 Baltimore and Ohio Magazine, July,. CONNELLSVILLE CELEBRITIES their loyal efforts during my stay to makethe operation of this division a success. During the time I have been on theConnellsville Division a number of previoushigh marks have been out-distanced, and Ireadily realize that this has been due to theloyal and efficient manner in which all em-ployes on the division have placed theirshoulder to the wheel to bring about suchresults. In behalf of my successor I can onlyask that you give him the same loyal andhonest support that you have given rnewhile I have been with you, and I am satis-fied that if this is done, you will not onlymaintain the present standard of efficiencyon the Connellsville Division, but will sur-pass even the highest marks you have madefor me. I regret to leave the ConnellsvilleDivision, as I have, during my stay, con-sidered each and every employe a friend, and trust the fact that we are from now onto be connected with separate divisions onthe Baltimore
