People wearing protective mask walk in an empty street near Lisbon downtown, after curfew was is again placed in mandatory confinement according to the state of emergency measures announced by the government and applied in the 121 high-risk councils. These measures were imposed last Sunday, and came into effect from November 9, 2020, by Prime Minister António Costa and his cabinet. In the last 24 hours, Portugal has registered 4,096 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 63 deaths according to data from the Directorate General of Health (DGS).
