Annaliese Baumer assumes command of the 572nd Brigade Engineer Battalion, Vermont Army National Guard, during a change of command ceremony held at a flight facility in North Clarendon, Vt., July 10, 2022. Army Lt. Col. Nathan Speanburg, relinquishes command after leading the battalion for three years. Baumer will serve as the first female commander in the unit's 100-year history.
