Mr. Adams wife died in 1849. They had eight chil-dren, four of whom died in infancy, and four are now liv-ing : JohnQuincy, b 1829; Harriet M., b 1833; Abbie A.,b 1838; Laura W., b 1842. All born in Northfield. Mr. Adams died at the home of his oldest daughter, inRevere, Mass., December 29, 1877, aged 81 years. Hewas brought to Northfield, and buried at the Center cem-etery, with Masonic honors, having made his arrange-ments for the last great change, and requesting his oldfriend. Rev. Judge Morse married for his first wifePolly, daughter of John Hutchinson, Esq., of Braiutree,and had four children : Nathan, b 181G ; Polly, b 1818; Betsey, b 1820; LucyH., b 1825. Mrs. Morse died in 1845. Judge Morse married for his second wife Martha,ilaughter of Urial Abbott, of Williamstown, and they hadone «on : James, born in Northfield in 1847. Judge Morse died in 18G2.
