Staff at Barts and Synergy (an outsourcing company providing linen services) as well as many other workers in the sector took part in industrial action and were striking in a wider dispute over pay and safe staffing levels. They were joined by members at East London Foundation Trust who are also taking part in a one-day strike over pay and safe staffing levels.
