Mexico's Catholic bishops celebrate a solemn Mass in the National Basilica of Guadalupe, the country's patroness, and give thanks for the gift of liberty on the eve of bicentennial Independence and centennial Revolution festivities. The Mass was concelebrated by the bishops and led by Cardinal Norberto Rivera, the Primate, and Archbishop of Mexico. Cardinal Rivera distributes communion to the faithful during the Mass.
