The 405th AFSB was also his first AFSB he visited since becoming the ASC commanding general. Recognizing excellence across ASC is one of the best parts of the job, stated Wilson in a Twitter post after his visit to the 405th AFSB. “These awesome teammates help us ‘stay ready’ and allow us to project strategic capabilities,” Wilson stated on Twitter. “Appreciate the great visit to 405th AFSB. Next time I’m bringing the ASC (command sergeant major) with me.” Prior to becoming the commanding general of ASC, Wilson served as the commanding general of the 8th Theater Sustainment Command at Fort Shafter, Hawaii. Wilson was commissioned as a field artillery officer upon graduation from The Citadel in 1991. Upon selection for promotion to brigadier general, he served as the 40th Chief of Ordnance and Command
