Moreover, caves are found mingled with other dwellings in Beni Sultan, Smerten, and Sguimi. LCave dwellings therefore prevail in the valleys, —]and real houses on the mountains^ LFinally, the more primitive caves are found on mountain slopes, as, for instance, at Duirat. The villafi^es that consist of houses are of stone or sun-dried blocks of clay.
