An early 20th century German advertising poster from World War One, 1914-1918, showing swarms of British planes bombing a factory. The quote is from British Labour party leader Johnson-Hicks which appeared in the Daily Telegraph, Jan. 3, 1918: "One must bomb the Rhine industrial area day by day with hundreds of airplanes, until the cure [destruction of German industrial production] has occurred." The artist was Egon Tschirch, (1889-1948).
: These posters are often faded, creased and torn, with sections missing. They have therefore been restored as near as possible to their original condition.
