Opening of the Crystal Palace, Cheltenham, 1854
Original engraving from The Illustrated London news of June 10 1854. The 'Crystal Palace' was a 400 ft long construction for the Exhibition of Horticulture and Works of Art & Design connected therewith, held in Royal Well Gardens, between 1 June and 12 July, the structure was dismantled after the exhibition closed.
