NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (March 27, 2019) Damage Controlman 2nd Class Brandon Carric, from Palm Springs, California, assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford's (CVN 78) engineering department, uses a radio to relay information during a damage control drill. Ford is currently undergoing its post-shakedown availability at Huntington Ingalls Industries-Newport News Shipbuilding.
