Anniversary Pechenga liberation from Nazi troops in 15 -th October 1944. As a result of Petsamo-Kirkenessky operation of 1944, The area was captured by the Red Army during the Petsamo–Kirkenes Offensive and incorporated into the Soviet Union after the subsequent Peace Treaty.
