This ConstructionImages picture was taken on 20 October 2006 of the Willis Building at 51 Lime Street in the financial district of the City of London. Standing opposite the Lloyd's building, at 125m (410 ft) high when completed it will become the fourth tallest building in the City. Designed by renowned architect Norman Foster it comprises a 23 storey office and retail building conceived as a series of overlapping curved planes with an organic design featuring a V-shaped floorplan incorporating a central atrium as well as a roof terrace complete with a pavilion. The main construction has been carried out by the Stanhope and British Land companies.
