Philadelpbia. MARKET EASIER. The market is somewhat easier for, in spite of the severe snow storm and ex- treme cold weather, stock seems much more plentiful. Prices are a trifle lower, especially in the bulbous stock; $3 is now high for the Golden Spur Von Sions which are now to be had in quan- tity, bringing $4. Tulips are of fine quality; $3 to $4 is the price, the latter being for the double orange. Very good freesias are offered for $3, some special lots bringing $1 more. Sweet peas are fine; 75 cents to $';o is the price. Very choice lilac sells for $2 per bunch of 24 single sprays. Acacia pubescens from the Evans Nurseries at Rowlandville is in good demand, $2 per bunch being the price. It is in a class with the orchid. Roses are better in every way, some fine stock being seen. Bridesmaid, Killarney, Liberty and Richmond are to be had in all grades, the best bringing %2^. Ameri- can Beauty is a trifle more plentiful but very scarce as yet. Nine to $12 per dozen is still asked for the specials. Car- nations are more in evidence and prices have softened a little: $6 is now high. Some very fine Enchantress and Robert Craig lead in the shipments and appear to be the most popular. Violets are abundant, double, $r, singles .';o to 7^ cents. THE LEO NIESSEN CO.'s NEW STORE. The feature of the week was the open- ing on last Monday morning, February II, of the new store of the Leo Niessen Co., 1209 Arch street, four doors re- moved from its old location. The build- ing, which the firm owns and which was built to suit its business, is six stories high of cement and concrete throughout, floors, walls, etc., all being entirely of this material and erected
