The re-tail merchants, from their intimate rela-tion to the activities of our people andcountry, must of necessity be a part ofanv such general tendency. Now, at theend of almost a year of operation undersuch a basis, it is a pleasure to report thatin the Province of Alberta there are 627retail merchants who are members of ourassociation and are receiving our have been able to administer their or-ganization affairs and liquidate old liabili-ties to the extent of $1,, with everyprospect of being able to hand over theorganization in another years time on agood sound footing with a membershiplarge enough to warrant their operatingtheir own service department.
