Like the Ivy and Trumpet vines, it throws out tendrils and roots at the joints, by which it fastens itself to any- thing it touches. One of the finest vines for covering walls, verandas, etc. Veitchii fVeich's Ampelopsis) — Japan. Leaves a little smaller and more ivy-like in form than the foregoing. Overlap- ping each other, they form a dense sheet of green. The plant requires a little protection the first winter until it is established, but after that it may be safely left to take care of itself.
