After finishing the course at these schools heremoved to New York city, subsequently removingto Brooklyn, where he has since resided. Mr. Mooreis a self-made man in the strictest sense of the term,having through his indomitable will, energy andperseverance alone attained the position he now holds.•He has been prominently connected with the NewYork state militia. In 1879 he was quartermaster ofthe 11th brigade, Y.,with rank as major.
