An den Binnenhof stößt der Außenhof (Buitenhof), auf dem ein schönes Bronzedonkmal des Königs Wilhelm II. steht, der 1792 geboren und 1849 gestorben ist. Er war 1840 auf den Thron gekommen. Als Prinz von Oranien befehligte er bei Belle-Alliance die holländischen Truppen gegne die Franzosen. Im Hintergrund sehen wir die Große Kirche (Groote Kerk) mit ihrem durchbrochenen Turm.
