Theupper plates are represented as secured re-spectively to the slot bars and to the trans-verse yokes formed on opposite walls of thevault. The lower plates are united to theupper by rabbeted and bolted or riveted supported by transverse bars extendingfrom the slot bar to the track rail. It willbe seen that the pulley vaults are construct-ed in the same general manner as the tun-nel proper, and as all the plates are pre-viously made to sizes, it is only necessary.
