Coloured optical image of NGC 4565, an edge-on spiral galaxy (type Sb) in the constellation of Coma Berenices. The galaxy has a pronounced central bulge (yellow) and a distinctive dusty outer disc. The photograph was taken with the metre telescope at Kitt Peak National Observatory in Arizona, USA.
