Cervical cancer. Light micrograph (LM) of a section of a large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma of the uterine cervix. This is a rare and aggressive malignancy with poor prognosis even in its early stage, despite multimodality treatment strategy. Most patients with early stage disease develop metastatic disease. Frequent metastatic sites include the central nervous system, lung, and bone. Magnification: x150 when printed at 10 centimetres wide. Human tissue.
