David's Citadel or the Tower of David, situated on the western part of the Old City of Jerusalem near Jaffa Gate, which is seen on the right, left and the center. Above the citadel is the minaret of the mosque, which is part of the fort. The citadel was built by the Mamluk Sultan Al Nasir Muhammad in 1310 and expanded by the Ottoman Sultan Suleyman or Suleiman the Magnificent between 1537-1541 Old City of Jerusalem, Jerusalem, Israel.
