I plow my ground eight or ten inches deep, harrow well both ways and make my rows north and south with a large shovel plow three feet apart, making the rows as deep as I plowed. I cut my potatoes three days before planting with one and two eyes in a piece, cut off one inch of seed end or enough to destroy all the small eyes.
