Extensive Prolapse (Excision).—A lady applied to me fortreatment for extensive prolapse. She had been operated on twice beforeby Van Burens method. Operation.—It was decided to excise the redundant tissue, which wasdone after the following manner: An incision was made around the anus atthe muco-cutaneous junction, and the mucous membrane dissected up for twoincnes (5 centimeters).
