Maiocco Jr., Commanding General, 85th Support Command, receives a 105mm round casing resembling those fired from the Howitzer cannons, saluting his relinquishment of command on July 9, 2017 in Arlington Heights, Illinois. The salute battery is assigned to the Illinois National Guard’s 2nd Battalion, 122nd Field Artillery Regiment, 33rd Brigade Combat Team. Maiocco served as the 85th Support Command’s commanding general for three years.
