After reading a captains book on the same topic as mine,recently published, and enjoying many a hearty laugh atand over it and him, I feel moved as if by a familiar breezeto sail into him. But on second thought I only owe him fora litrie exquisite pleasure which is genuine, and cannot com-plain of the want of seamanship noticeable in the littlevolume for that is not genuine, and of course I dont owehim for that. I only said Oh ! when I read the funnyand stupid passages and so paid my debt to the all, however, for I shall eternally owe him for a sug-gestion as to story telling, which is the occasion for thissupplementary chapter, a sort of fifteenth amendment.
