Sow early in the spring as the ground can be worked, and every two weeks- during the season. Winter varieties from the first of August to the last of September. A light, rich, sandy soil suits best. One ounce of seed, will sow 100 to 150 feet, when drilled in rows. Early White Turnip. A round turnip-rooted radish, with small top and of quick growth; both skin and flesh pure white, crisp and tender. Pkt, 5c, oz. 10c, ft>. 55c. Early Scarlet Turnip. A small, round, red, turnip-shap- ed radish with a small top, and of very quick growth. A very early variety, deserving gener- al cultivation on account of its rich color, of crisp and tender qualities. Pkt. 5c, oz. 10c. White Turnip. Scarlet Globe. Scarlet Turnip. Early Scarlet Globe. This is without doubt the hand- somest and best of all early radishes. The root has a smooth skin, of rich carmine color. The foliage is extremely small and radishes are ready for the table in three weeks from time of sowing. They are of mild flavor, crisp, juicy and tender. Pkt. 5c, oz. 10c, %ft>. 20c, lb. 60c. New Golden Globe. A fine new variety being fit for use in from 4 to 6 weeks after sowing, and is a great improve- ment on the old Yellow Turnip Radish, both color and quality being much finer.
