The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Micheál Martin, , will visited Lurgan and Belfast today for a series of meetings and community engagements. In Lurgan the Minister had the opportunity to meet community relations practitioners and young people. Speaking ahead of the visit, the Minister said: ‘I am delighted to have the opportunity to see at first hand some of the excellent work taking place in Lurgan to promote reconciliation and to build sustainable community relations’. Later in the day, Minister Martin met with the new leader of the Ulster Unionist Party, Tom Elliott, for discussions on a wide range of areas of mutual interest.
