Gentoo penguin (Pygoscelis papua) regurgitating food to feed its chick. The gentoo's diet includes krill and fish. The breeding season is from spring to autumn with a clutch of two eggs. The first egg and chick is larger, and usually the only one that survives. Both parents will feed the chick for 3- 4 months. This penguin stands 50-70 centimetres tall and weighs 5-6 kilograms. It hunts for fish and krill in the day, remaining near the colony island. Photographed on South Georgia Island, Antarctica.
